Travis Carless is a Manger in Eversource Energy’s Grid Modernization group and is responsible for coordinating DERMS regulatory strategy and project implementation. He has over 15 years of experience in energy systems analysis, emerging clean energy technologies, and energy policy and strategy.

Prior to joining Eversource, Dr. Carless was an Associate at the Brattle Group where he specialized in energy affordability, wholesale energy and capacity markets, and resource planning; and a Stanton Nuclear Security Postdoctoral Fellow at the RAND Corporation and a President’s Postdoctoral Fellow at Carnegie Mellon University where his research was focused on nuclear proliferation and energy.

He earned his PhD in Engineering and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University, a MS in Industrial Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh, and a BS in Computer Systems Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
