The second annual IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES) Energy and Policy Forum will be held in Washington, D.C, on 23-26 March 2026, providing a platform for discussion, analysis, and collaboration on issues related to the power grid and energy policy, regulations, affordability, reliability, and innovation. The Forum brings together government experts, policymakers, utility companies, industry leaders, researchers, and other stakeholders to explore challenges and opportunities in the power and energy sector and develop strategies for achieving a secure and reliable energy future. The Forum will serve as a hub for fostering dialogue, sharing knowledge, and catalyzing action towards an abundant and affordable energy future.

Forum Tracks
The forum involves three major tracks:
Enabling generation technologies for a dependable supply mix
Supporting evolving electric loads and rapid interconnection
Modernizing the energy delivery system to overcome challenges and barriers
Submission are invited in all topic areas of energy and policy especially with the following focus:

Forum Structure
Tutorials
Focus on sharing knowledge with the community on the basics of policymaking and regulation in the power industry.
Super Sessions and Panel Discussions
Sessions focus discussion on the intersection of energy and policy, including challenges and opportunities for innovative technology development and deployment, and showcase how industry and policymakers can come together to ensure a secure, reliable, affordable, and abundant grid, for today and tomorrow.
Innovation Showcase
Showcasing innovative technology and projects, developed by industry (manufacturing, service providers, national labs, academia, etc.), and as successfully applied in utility installations. Submit your innovation showcase proposal here.
Research Showcase (Poster Session)
The poster session will feature research that sits at the intersection of policy and technology to meet the needs of the nation to bring increasing value to the consumer while guarding against threats and challenges in a grid that is relied on more and more to power our lives.
Panels will be evaluated for relevance to the tracks and likelihood of achieving the conference objective of bringing together the state of the art in energy research with policy for impactful outcomes on accelerating meaningful impact to achieve a robust energy future.
