Farzam Nejabatkhah received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada, in 2017. From 2017 to 2019, he served as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Instructor at the University of Alberta. In September 2019, he joined CYME International T&D, Eaton, in Montreal, Canada, as a Lead Engineer.

In April 2024, he joined Eversource Energy, where he leads Distributed Energy Resource (DER) Interconnection within the System Planning team. His research interests include DER, smart grids, AC/DC microgrids, power electronic converters, and cyber‑physical energy systems.
