Khundmir Syed is the Director of Power & Grid Strategy at Diode Ventures, the infrastructure development arm of Black & Veatch. He leads grid integration strategy for hyperscale data center developments across North America, focusing on large‑load interconnections, grid capacity evaluation, and development of scalable, resilient power infrastructure to support rapidly expanding digital infrastructure demand.

With more than a decade of experience in power systems engineering, Khundmir has worked across utility consulting, OEM solutions, and energy infrastructure development. His technical expertise includes transmission and distribution planning, power system stability, FACTS deployment, large‑load integration, and Electromagnetic Transient (EMT) studies across multiple U.S. power markets.

Prior to joining Diode Ventures, he held engineering roles at ABB, Burns & McDonnell, and Shell, supporting utilities and developers on transmission planning, EMT analysis, and deployment of advanced grid technologies.

Khundmir holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University at Buffalo, SUNY and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
