Mark Browne

Mr. Browne has over 30 years’ experience in engineering and EPC projects leading teams of up to 300 people. Mark has extensive experience in mechanical process systems and integration of major engineered equipment in power generation projects around the world. Originally specializing in gas and coal generation for the last 15 years Mark has been focused on nuclear generation acting as the overall technical director responsible for training and qualification, project resourcing and delivery of all engineering products at Tetra Tech. His team has successfully supported fuel production projects from uranium mine sites to fuel fabrication facilities, designed standalone detritiation facilities, executed modifications to existing plants for the production of medical isotopes and most recently supported site preparation for proposed SMRs and are currently executing major refurbishment activities at the nuclear power plants in Ontario. Mark has extensive experience with establishing Nuclear Quality Assurance requirements at a programmatic system and project specific level. He uses techniques such as Lean and Value engineering to establish a graded approach to Quality Assurance for Nuclear and Industrial applications. He is a member of the Nuclear Strategic Steering Committee for the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) N286 and N299 series.
