Dr. Robert “Bobby” Jeffers is the Laboratory Program Manager for Cybersecurity and Resilience at the National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR). He engages with and manages NLR’s program for the US Department of Energy’s Cybersecurity Energy Security and Emergency Response (CESER) office, while advising laboratory leadership and coordinating collaborative research in areas such as modeling and simulation; decision support; and the development of advanced resilience frameworks, methodologies, and threat-driven analysis. Prior to his time at NLR, Dr. Jeffers led a portfolio of impactful energy-centric projects at Sandia National Laboratories utilizing Sandia’s broad expertise in multi-infrastructure modeling and simulation. He began his career at the Idaho National Laboratory as an Energy and Environmental Systems Modeler and Power and Controls Researcher. Dr. Jeffers earned his master’s degree in electrical engineering and power systems from Virginia Tech, and his doctorate in Environmental Science from Washington State University. He resides with his family in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
