Ryan Burg

Ryan Burg is a manager and senior researcher focusing on resilience at the National Laboratory of the Rockies (formerly NREL). His research portfolio addresses risk in the energy system including challenges of affordability, supply adequacy, and grid reliability and resilience. Prior to NLR, Ryan led long-term resilience planning at ComEd and managed a team that organized community partnerships for grid innovation. Ryan holds a joint-PhD in business ethics and sociology from Wharton. In his academic career, he taught at Wharton, Georgetown, HSE Moscow, and Bucknell and published a book on supply chain responsibility with Cambridge University Press.
