Andrew Zach is the Senior Policy Advisor for Energy and Environment for the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works Republicans. In this position, Andy oversees the Committee’s Republican energy and environmental agenda. He also serves as the lead Republican staff on the Committee’s nuclear energy issues, including the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Prior to his current position, Andy was a Senior Professional Staff Member for the House Committee on Energy and Commerce from 2015-2018. His portfolio encompassed all nuclear-related issues under the Committee’s broad energy jurisdiction. Andy previously worked in Idaho National Laboratory’s Washington, DC. Andy also served as Professional Staff for the House Science, Space, and Technology’s Subcommittee on Energy, and previously for Congressman F. James Sensenbrenner on the House Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming.
