Dan Schwarting is a Manager of Transmission Planning at ISO New England, a not-for-profit corporation responsible for the operation and planning of New England’s power system and the administration of its electricity markets. He has worked in Transmission Planning at ISO New England since 2010, and currently focuses on planning for longer-term system evolution, public policy, and the transition of the power system to renewable and inverter-based resources. Dan is a Professional Engineer licensed in the state of Massachusetts, and holds a B.S. in Electric Power Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and an M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut.
