Farnaz Farzan, provides consulting services to our partners in the areas of energy storage and DER, non-wires alternatives, wholesale market analysis, and strategic planning and investment to integrate renewable technologies into power grid systems and markets. She has been focused on developing advanced analytics to support decision-making processes around renewables, DER, and emerging technologies as they penetrate and integrate across the value chain of power systems. Her skills and experience range from engineering economics and market simulation to control theory and operations research. She has in-depth experience in storage evaluation and policy impact and how utilities incorporate their involvement with storage and DER into their overall strategy. Through her various projects, she also has explored the impact of increased penetration of renewables on bulk power systems both nationally and internationally.
