Liza Reed is the Director for Energy and Climate Policy at the Niskanen Center. He previously served as a Senior Industry Advisor in the Grid Deployment Office where she worked on strategic initiatives including streamlining transmission permitting and advanced technology deployment. She is an expert in High Voltage Direct Current, electricity transmission, and technology innovation. She holds a PhD from Carnegie Mellon University in Engineering and Public Policy and a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University.
