With over 20 years of expertise in transmission and distribution (T&D) systems, including 15 years in engineering and leadership roles at three diversified investor-owned utility companies, Shaun Moran stands as a seasoned professional in the Power and Energy sector. As Shaun took on roles of increasing responsibility, his work expanded to include the development of large-scale capital grid plans and programs ranging from hundreds of millions to billions in capital investments. He has successfully managed projects and programs involving extra-high voltage substations and transmission lines, competitive transmission (FERC 1000), NERC Reliability Standard compliance, and renewable and thermal generation integration, including consulting for HVDC and offshore wind developments.

On the distribution side, Shaun has developed decarbonization plans and conducted studies to integrate alternative energy and digitalization technologies, such as EVs, electrification, distributed energy resources (DER), and data centers. His background also includes operational expertise, with prior field experience in protection and control scheme implementation, testing, commissioning, and storm response restoration efforts.

In his leadership roles, Shaun has been directly responsible for developing grid plan programs and managing capital budgets to enhance and modernize infrastructure across both transmission and distribution systems. His comprehensive understanding of T&D systems and regulatory oversight enables him to guide clients through the complexities of large infrastructure projects, from initial concept to approval and execution.
